Every Projected Week 1 Starting Quarterback Ranked (Sports)

The NFL season is here, today! So it’s time for my ranking. This is a ranking of each teams projected starting quarterback combining two factors. One being their performance leading up to this season in their respective career but most importantly the other being how well I think they are going to play going into the 2024-2025 season.

32. Daniel Jones

This is less of a statement on Jones and more on the team and organization around him.

31. Jacoby Brisset

A solid backup option that’s just holding time for Drake Maye and the rest of the young core.

30. Bo Nix

Maybe he is the next Drew Brees or maybe we should just let him be Bo Nix, a rookie coached by Sean Payton.

29. Gardner Minshew

This screams a 9-8 ceiling but he definitely brings that Raider mentality so I might be underestimating him.

28. Jayden Daniels

Very easily could be in the mid-low teens in no time but the Commanders need him to be special to erase the ghosts of Washington past.

27. Derek Carr

It might be time to entertain that at best Carr was serviceable and now he might be over the hill.

26. Bryce Young

I like Adam Thielen and Chuba Hubbard but how can you expect a rookie Bryce Young to succeed with that, that supporting cast is slightly better now.

25. Will Levis

I’m high on Levis, I thought he really showed a tough X-factor last year, it just depends if he can keep developing and stay healthy.

24. Sam Darnold

Darnold’s starting opportunities were with the Jets and Panthers over the last few years, so maybe we need to give him another shot.

23. Russell Wilson

Wilson wasn’t as bad as the media would let you believe last year but the Seattle Russ is definitely gone.

22.  Deshaun Watson

Electric in Houston, but that was a while ago it’s time for Watson to prove if he is still electric or if those days are behind him.

21. Kyler Murray

Murray to Harrison gets me excited, hopefully we can see it for all 17 games.

20. Caleb Williams

One of the most dynamic quarterbacks in college football history not to mention he might have the best skill position players a rookie has ever had.

19. Anthony Richardson

Boom or bust kinda pick but anyone who has watched Richardson knows how dynamic he can be when healthy.

18. Geno Smith

Geno left some plays on the field last year but I expect this team to be energized and for Smith to capitalize on that.

17. Tua Tagovailoa

Can execute a dynamic offense to near perfection, in the regular season.

16. Baker Mayfield

One of the most pleasant surprises of last season expect Baker to continue to be solid.

15. Trevor Lawrence

At minimum you are getting a high upside talented adult which you can’t always say about all NFL quarterbacks.

14. Kirk Cousins

Kirk has always been a top half quarterback and the injury concern is valid but it’s not like Cousins relied on his athleticism.

13. Dak Prescott

Seems like Dak’s days in Dallas are numbered but he has the skills to make this really awkward.

12. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been great for a minimum of two years but it’s hard to be down on one of the greats. (This does not mean I’m drinking that Jets kool-Aid.)

11. Jared Goff

There is always the possibility of unfortunate turnovers but Goff got that big payday for valid reasons.

10. Joe Burrow

When healthy he is an absolute field general but the offensive line is still questionable and that should make Cincinnati worried.

9. Brock Purdy

Oh he has this guy and that guy, but he just keeps winning and isn’t that what matters?

8.  Jalen Hurts

Hurts was hurt last year and that’s important to remember, I expect a bounce back year full of silencing haters.

7. Matthew Stafford

Stafford is my sleeper pick to win MVP, don’t tell anyone

6. Jordan Love

I’m feeling the love and why not he was the best QB for the last 8 weeks of the regular season and his young team is only getting better.

5. Justin Herbert

I will die on the hill that Herbert can challenge for the best QB in the league but it’s gotta work with Harbaugh or he might be the problem.

4. C.J Stroud

Any potential sophomore slump might just be solved by the fact that this team decided to give Stroud two new toys in Diggs and Mixon.

3. Lamar Jackson

His ability to lead his team to meaningful playoff wins remains to be seen but you can bet he will win the games to get them there and look dynamic doing it.

2. Josh Allen

If you have watched any of the battles Allen has had with Mahomes over the years you know how close the gap between 1 and 2 truly is.

1. Patrick Mahomes

If you pick anyone over Mahomes let me know cause I wanna try whatever drugs you're taking.

New rankings will be released after week 9.

You Should Watch: Big Fish (Movies)

Tim Burton is a bit eccentric, well maybe very eccentric but that is what makes him so endearing. Whether it’s Beetlejuice or his iteration of Batman in 1989 it seems that the award winning director prides himself and his films on being well, distinguishable. Burton has had his fair share of successes and flops. When it comes to the flops however they are often one sided in the sense that if the critics don’t like it usually the audience does and vice versa however if neither like it you can count on his devoted group of fans to find the silver lining. This is what makes his 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes rather disappointing, aside from an interesting twist Burton’s rendition to put it kindly falls flat on its face and seemed to not land with any audience. Burton's career has not really been the same since so what comes next in Burton’s filmography after this misstep is potentially his most underrated and odd film of all.     ...

Ninety-Five Senses the Biggest Snub of the 2024 Oscars (Movies)

A few weeks ago the Oscars came and went with mostly positive reviews. There were no slaps or wrong announcements in fact it was hailed as a success. This came as welcomed news for the Academy as it has been a rather rough stretch of shows the last few years. Even bigger for the Academy was that not only was the show a broadcasting and entertainment success but their choices were hailed as consistent and dare I say correct. I know shocker, the Academy picked the right people to win, what a world we live in. However, now that we are a few weeks removed and my daze of excitement from Gosling's dazzling “I'm Just Ken” performance is gone, I have one major complaint about what I thought was the biggest snub of the night.  Usually the public gets up in arms about things like best picture or best actor, these are the categories that most are at least a little bit educated on. This means upsets like Shakespeare in Love winning over Saving Private Ryan are almost always the big story....
